What we do
in Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Activities

Den Meetings:
Your son will meet weekly or bi-weekly with a group of other boys who
are in his grade. This provides him a chance to make new friends and do
new activities with a close group of friends.

Pack Meetings:
This is a meeting for all Cub Scouts and parents to get to gather to
recognize their sons for the achievements they have accomplished
during each month. Skits, songs and plays are just a few activities
during a Pack meeting.

Pinewood Derby Races:
Pack competition where the Cub Scout makes a racing car for
competition.

Day Camp:
Weekday camping at various city parks during the summer. Action
oriented. Involves games, crafts, skills, nature, archery and, at some
locations, BB gun instruction.

Blue & Gold Banquet:
Large pack meeting in February where families come together to
celebrate the birthday of the Cub Scout program. We will hold a potluck,
an ice cream and cake social or cater food for the event. Advancement
programs and skits are the main attraction of the night.

March 21, 2009- Pack hike. Follow this link for more information.

June 20-29 - Camp Belzer and Kitkhawenund Webelos Adventure
Camp (WAC)
are over! A great time for all that attended. Our
Webelows and Pack 130 from Fishers formed the Seminole tribe during
WAC and we made some new friends that we hope to see again.

April, 2009- Day Camp. Follow this link for more information. We had
an excellent time at the Day Camp! We hiked, and played capture the
flag with scouts from Franklin's troop 228. We also shared peach
cobbler made in a dutch oven with them.

July Brown County Camp - Another great time! We fished at Ogle
lake, went for a side-trip to Nashville to savor excellent icecream, and
hiked at night from the lake after fishing some more. We also saw a
copperhead snake at the nature center, made bisquits and
upside-down pineapple cake in a dutch oven, and ate too many
breakfast patties to count.
