Morgan Monroe State Forest Day camp

Saturday, April 25th we go camping! Schedule and gear info The drive to the forest is about 30 minutes. Here is a map for exiting off Rt. 37 into old Rt. 37. After Martinsville, the divider suddently thins, and a tiny sign on the right says Morgan Monroe State Forest. Follow that sign to Forest Rd to Main Forest Rd. Follow Main Forest Rd. past the forest office. Scout Ridge will be on the right about a 1/4 mile past the office. Here are a couple of topo maps of the area and the rock shelter trail. The area map shows, on top, the scout trail and scout camping area. Plan to be there at 10:00a.m. if you can. We will adjourn at 8p.m. If you have other activities, come when you can.
